See, now these guys seem to have a decent grasp of how
to best utilize ye ole’ one sheet. Don’t hit me over
the head writing about what a bunch of neo hipsters you
are; just tell me about the damn band!
It’s uneven, but there’s something there. When the
band decides to cut loose and rock (albeit in their own
unique manner), they sound really good (Light &
Shadows, Selling Oxygen). The song writing and vocals
could use some work, but at other times the vocals can
be spot on (Selling Oxygen, Moored).
Is this as good as they get, or is it an example of just
needing to work with the right people to get where you
need to be? I don’t know. They’ll have to figure it
out for themselves. But I’d say they’ve started down
the right road. I’d like to see what they do as they
develop and grow.
